Tyler Harris is the Energy Management Officer and Director of Energy for GSA. Throughout his career, Tyler has led GSA in some of its most innovative programs and projects including helping to organize GSA's Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) approach which will include over $1.4B in performance contracts, installation of microgrid and grid-interactive efficient building technologies, and led a push to purchase 100% renewable energy in over 100 federal buildings in Texas. In his previous role as Deputy Director for GSA's Center for Emerging Building Technologies, Tyler managed the Green Proving Ground, a program designed to leverage GSA’s real estate portfolio to evaluate innovative emerging technologies. Tyler led evaluations that include carbon capture, state of the art heat pumps and renewable energy advancements. When Tyler is not sustainably transforming the federal portfolio, he loves going on adventures with his two sons who are 10 and 13.
