Biography:

William C. "Bill" Anderson serves as the President of Generations Advisors, a firm specializing in startup company advisory, energy, environmental sustainability, and real estate asset optimization.  Bill has held senior advisory positions for organizations serving the defense, aerospace, sustainability, and energy markets.  He is a founding board member of the Washington DC ArchAngels, a network of angel investors.  Bill previously served in a variety of executive positions at Merrill Lynch & Co., Inc., Arthur Andersen & Co., Ryder Systems, Inc., General Electric Company, and Easton Corporation. His private-sector leadership experiences include manufacturing/supply chain, business development/M&A/due diligence, business integration, Lean Six Sigma, facility construction/management, international taxation, legal and legislative affairs, environmental stewardship, and worker safety. In 2005, Bill was appointed by President George W. Bush and confirmed by the United States Senate to serve as Assistant Secretary of the United States Air Force for Installations, Environment and Logistics, and the Air Force's Senior Energy Executive.  As Assistant Secretary, he led an organization with responsibilities that included installations, military construction, base closure and realignment, environment, energy, safety and occupational health issues, and all logistical matters.  Bill’s public service also includes an appointment as the Assistant Secretary at the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, with responsibilities spanning commercial and recreational fishing regulation, navigation, natural resource analytics, energy project licensing, coastal/shoreline management, and resource sustainment/climate change.  He served in oversight roles for the Maryland Geological Survey, the Critical Area Commission, and the Power Plant Research Program.  He also served as an executive board member of the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission.  Bill served on the Business Executive Advisory Council for the Department of Business, Management and Accounting at the University of Maryland Eastern Shore.  He has been a regular contributor to Second Line of Defense, an online defense magazine, and is a frequent presenter at professional defense, engineering, leadership, and energy conferences. He is an honors graduate of Washington College in Chestertown, Md., earned his law degree with honors from Syracuse University, and studied in the master's program for international business at the University of Miami. Bill is a member of the Maryland Bar.
